Ashley’s Travels Prior to April 2011

Prior to the start of Coffee Cake and Cardio, I had the opportunity to travel around the country and in Europe.  As an Air Force brat, I moved with my family ever 2 years until I was 18.  My moves looked a little something like this: Texas, Florida, Virginia, Florida, Germany, Rhode Island, Texas, Alabama, Virginia, Mississippi, and last but not least, Texas.

Two year into college I decided to transfer to George Mason University, so I moved back to Virginia.  After graduation I moved to New Hampshire/Vermont for my first job at Dartmouth College.  While in New Hampshire/Vermont I was able to travel all around New England!  I loved it there.

Burlington, Vermont

One year later I accepted a job in DC and moved back to Virginia.  In 2007, I went on a trip to Europe to visit family friends in Germany, to visit my family in England, and to celebrate new years in London.  It was amazing!

In the summer of 2008 I traveled to California for a whirlwind California tour.  I flew into San Francisco and drove out to Yosemite with some friends.  After a few days at Yosemite we drove to Sacramento to meet up with some other friends.  We then drove back to San Francisco and spent a few days there.  I then flew to San Diego to visit one of my best friends, Landry.  It was a trip I will never forget.

Since 2008, I’ve been on lots of road trips to Charleston SC, Southern VA, Philadelphia PA, and New York City NY to name a few.  I’m also fortunate to be able to visit Neal’s family in Iowa a few times a year and to travel back to Texas to be with my family!  I love traveling and am excited to share my trips from here on out!
